Advanced Pain Management

We wanted to devote a whole page to this topic because it is the most common question that we get asked.  "Is electrolysis painful?"

The truth is, everyone has a different level of pain tolerance.  

Some folks find electrolysis a bit uncomfortable and some find it completely manageable.  The good news is, there is a wide variety of pain management solutions available to you.  Some of these options are listed below.  

• We are excited to be able to offer our clients local anesthetic injections.  A Medical Doctor or Registered Nurse will inject the desired area with Xylocaine numbing agent which makes treatment 100% painless.  The cost of this service is in addition to treatment cost.  

• You are welcome to use our Virtual Reality (VR) Headset for pain relief.  This works by visually distracting you from any discomfort you may be experiencing during treatment.   This option is perfect for larger body areas where tolerance can be a little lower.  

• Feel free to listen to music / podcasts during your treatment.  Many clients find this type of distraction helpful.  

• Oral medications can be used before treatment to ease the sensation (Advil/ Tylenol).  

  • Take them 20-30 minutes before treatment.

  • Some people discuss prescription pain medication options with their Doctor.
